Colonization is not over: indigenous people must fight for their water rights every day
A durational performance involving an umbrella that rains, a built pond, and the Declaration of the Water Rights of Indigenous People
From noon until sunset, for 5 days, the performer stands in a pond constructed in a storefront in Morningside Heights while holding the wetting umbrella (after Lynn Lu's inadequate reality adaptation)
He voices excerpts from the Indigenous Declaration of Water Rights for passersby. A dramatization and reimagining of the traditional Catawba story of How Rabbit Stole Water.
